March 16, 2022

All Manitoba Health Orders have expired as of March 15, 2022. We want to respect where everyone is at, and we know you do too. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, you are welcome here. If you are more comfortable not wearing a mask, you are welcome here. Come as you are!

February 10th

As restrictions change so does our capacity and limitations at CT. We have had some great services online! (Which will continue) and last week two great worship experiences. However, this week, we will begin merging back into one Sunday Worship Experience! The 11 am service will be open to all. There will of course be special seating considerations for immune compromised folks and we will keep up with our intense guidelines for sanitation and safety.

The Details

Current health orders allow us to host 25% of the building capacity which is 150 including kids ministry over two floors. This is also the number that in the past we deemed appropriate with the current physical distancing rules. Per service we will not exceed 150. Please ensure that you are registering early in the week as space will not be expanded beyond the 150.

As we have stated previously, as a pastoral team, we will not add or subtract rules to our live gatherings from what the province requests. As our province sees hospitalization rates dropping and is comfortable slowly changing the restrictions, we are comfortable taking their lead as we move forward. For those not ready to return to a live service we will still be offering our online campus and pastoral care through one on one meetings and small group settings.

We are excited to be able to announce good things. Let us keep our provincial and federal leaders in prayer as they lead through situations that only they can handle. Without our prayer and support for those leading, we lose our voice at the table. Thank you Jesus for a bright future!

January 26th 2022 - Here is a brand new update for an upcoming re-opening of our live services at CT Brandon. Watch all the way to the end as there are many ways to get involved in the next season of building the kingdom of God.

As of January 7th 2022 - WE ARE MOVING TO ONLINE ONLY FOR SUNDAY MORNINGS FOR A SHORT TIME

We are only a few days into 2022 and already I have heard friends talk about decision fatigue... this year! The worst part is, I am feeling it too. I am purposely trying to simplify, but even deciding what aspects of my life to simplify sounds like another crazy decision I do not want to make. If this is a new term for you, decision fatigue is what happens when we are so overwhelmed by making decisions that we opt for indecisive behavior or worse, avoidance. Know you are not alone!

This is where my team and I found ourselves this week. We were faced with the realities of covid in Manitoba. Increased case counts, increased hospitalizations, and stress on the rise for the people we are called to serve. We were juggling how to manage up to 4 unique worship experiences, which would require up to 4 sets of volunteers. Even with great plans in place, there is no telling if and when the province will change our health restrictions based on the current skyrocketing numbers.

So we made a decision to simplify for a short time. Our main worship experience will be online delivery only. Meeting in large groups does not seem responsible right now. The second thing we have decided is to focus on smaller gatherings for those who need or want pastoral care. We will return to CT Classic for those without technology or who need prayer on Thursday mornings, as well as adding other smaller formats that will supplement Sunday mornings online with some spiritual and mental health care available for anyone who wishes to take advantage of that. More information will be available on our social media accounts throughout the weekend and much more next week.

Short periods of time to focus on our mental and spiritual health are good things to plan. This weekend Pastor Nikki is going to talk more about that. Make plans to join us online Sunday morning as I know you will find it encouraging! Thank you for your patience and prayer as we all work towards the bright future that we know exists inside of the kingdom of God!

December 22nd 2021, With the new restrictions coming into place we have had to make the following changes:

  • Christmas Eve services will require a proof of vaccination at the door, however, we are adding a live stream for those who cannot attend these services.

  • Our December 26th and January 2nd services will be online only.

  • Our main services will also be proof of vaccination required at the door starting January 9th. However, we are going to add a second service for those who are not comfortable showing their vaccination status which will be up to 25 people. If there is need for more services we can add those at the time.

We are not the type of church to give into fear or demands. We are the type of church that gives into the mission of Jesus. When times get weird or tough, we respond with creativity and love. We will all get to the other side of this and learn that Jesus had it under control the whole time.

November 2021 - As always, the Covid restrictions and safety measures change rapidly here in Manitoba. Make sure to check out gatherings page or call the office to find out if there is anything new that you need to know about.

October 2021 - At this time we are choosing to operate church at a 1/3 capacity and not require vaccination cards at the door. Here is what we do require to attend a CT Brandon service.

  • Pre-register so that we stay within our attendance limits as a church.

  • Do the provincial self assessment before attending. If you are sick, please stay home.

  • If you are immune compromised or elderly we ask that you consider our Thursday CT Classic Service.

Starting this weekend (as of April 20th) we will be going to online services for the next 4 weeks. There are a few changes that we are going to make in the mean time and some other items that we are going to continue. We care about your discipleship and your connection with the people you know and the people that God is going to bring to your path. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this together.
